ATIS 2.0 is a multilingual digital platform for complaints and determining appropriate services for migrant workers in English, Bahasa Indonesia, Burmese, Khmer, Lao, Thai and Vietnamese.
It is promoted by the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ATUC) and its 18 affiliate national trade union confederations in ASEAN excluding Brunei but including Timor Leste. It is supported by the ILO TRIANGLE in ASEAN.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a grouping of ten countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The ASEAN Leaders admitted in-principle Timor-Leste to be the 11th member of ASEAN during the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Cambodia on 10-13 November 2022.
How ATIS 2.0. works
1) A migrant worker in ASEAN or from any country in ASEAN sends an inquiry or complaint through ATIS 2.0.
2) The inquiry or complaint goes to the ATUC affiliate and the focal point in the country where assistance is needed.
3) The focal point then contacts the sender to determine appropriate information or assistance.
4) The focal point records the verified information in ATIS 2.0.
Beyond ASEAN
ATUC is working with major regional trade union organizations to extend the reach of ATIS 2.0 to migrant workers in 109 countries beyond ASEAN and Timor Leste:
